Two powerful Bulls were locked in a fierce fight in a field beside a marsh.
Nearby, an old Frog watched the battle with growing concern.
A young Frog noticed his worried expression and asked,
“Why are you so frightened? The Bulls aren’t fighting us.”
“They aren’t,” replied the old Frog, “but one of them will lose. And when that happens, the defeated Bull will be driven away from the field and into our marsh. If he comes here, his heavy hooves will crush us without even noticing.”
The young Frog wasn’t convinced.
But before long, the stronger Bull drove his rival out of the field.
The defeated Bull charged straight into the marsh, where his enormous hooves trampled many of the Frogs.
The old Frog’s warning had come true.
Moral: When the powerful fight, it is often the weak who suffer the consequences.
